Messages From the Lost Rune Part 1

Meditation can often bring the most profound messages. After they come you are left floating in the wonder brought by mere flashes of insight. I had one of those moments today. It was tied to a stone I had been looking for. I have this wonderful set of Runes I purchased from a woman that carves them and has written the little book that accompanies them. As I was cleaning the Runes to charge them I discovered that one of the stones was missing. I searched everywhere and as I meditated on it I was given the message of appreciation. It was if I was being asked to look again at what I placed value on. I contacted the woman made arrangements to have another stone sent and put it out of my mind...and then I was given this message. The missing stone is Ehwaz “eh-was” – Literally: “Horse” – Esoteric: Trust

Meditation: I see spinning lights and then water as if I am high above the earth approaching it. I see a garden but it is indoors and when I look at the structure it seems that it is an inside/outside home. This vanishes and I begin to ask my guides about all of the messages they show me…are they for my writing…are they for teaching? What is their meaning? I am given this message: Bringing understanding of my lost Rune and the photo of the inside/outside photo. How we as people place our VALUE (this was said with more emphasis) on material possessions not understanding that they all come from the planet and that we should realize this and therefore value our planet even more so. We place a wall around plants and call it our garden. It is and never will be ours, yet we must continue to care for it. My lost rune is just a symbol that reminds me of this. The stone, although used in divination, is a living member of the earth’s family and I am to treat it in the highest respect. The meditation ends and I am left feeling enormously appreciative.

Several things stand out from this experience. The incredible message of how we should all examine what we value, the reminder that we enjoy the natural resources of the planet and need to continue to be good stewards and the less obvious message–While in meditation we should ask more questions.

I am going to take some quiet time to reflect on this particular meditation regarding VALUE and I will write a part 2 to this blog. I am actually a bit overwhelmed by the enormous gifts of insight brought to me from this lost Rune. Part 2

If you would like to know more about the wonderful Runes I purchased please click. These particular stones actually feel as if they sing to me they resonate so clearly with my vibration.

Red Coral Messenger

Living by the sea has taught me many lessons. I have learned that storms come bursting upon the scene without warning. The winds cause the ocean to heave and grown as the waves become whipped up in a frenzy. The birds take cover as the clouds grow darker. Much like the tempests that beset man time and again.

The storm ravages the sea bed and hurls it onto the beach. Marine creatures and plant life are ripped from the safety of their everyday lives. It is the natural rhythm...it is the heartbeat of our planet. The coming and the going. The birthing and the dying.

The storm begins to pass and the birds slowly return to forage on the bounty now washed upon the shore. They call to one another as they squabble for the choicest selections. The clouds quietly depart as the sun comes out from her hiding. The day returns not missing a moment or a second as the waves keep time sighing… in and out…in and out. Life goes on.

As we move forward along our journey we can begin to see that much like nature we too are carried along in the storms. We face the onslaught, the battering down and the recovery. A divorce, a loss of income, a death. Our emotions become swept up in all of this and if we are not careful we become ill.

Meditation is not the "end all be all" answer to our problems, but it is a wonderful tool that can help you weather the storms. There are days when your emotions are brimming and you cannot contain them, nor explain them. You are feeling this uncontrollable energy that overwhelms and ravages your sea bed and tosses it up upon the shore. Scattered memories, floating missed opportunities, and bits and pieces of dreams that will seemingly dissolve leaving you feeling empty and powerless.

If you find that you are waking daily to these overwhelming emotions then perhaps it is time to listen to your body as it is calling to you. Let them out yes, but connect with what they are telling you.

If you are able to sit beside a shore then find one. If you would rather do a walking meditation then find a body of water and slip into this energy–feel the natural pace as it connects to your heartbeat. If you cannot do this then find a natural sea sound audio file, put some headphones on and quietly let your mind float along the sounds of the waves. If you are able– look  for elements from the sea such as red coral, shells …anything from the sea that holds the natural energy to use it in meditation. Perhaps you live near a river, a waterfall, or even a park water fountain. Draw close to the energy of water. Soak in a tub, stand in the shower or find a pool and immerse yourself. Connect to water and all of the healing properties it holds.

After you locate your special place with water, begin meditating with purpose. If you are doing a walking meditation then simply do this with your eyes open – the method is still the same.
Begin with a prayer or invocation for protection and blessings and state your intention- "I would like to connect with the energy of water. Please help me to blend my spirit with the healing elements offered to me and allow me to hear the message it contains." Slowly begin breathing and feel the energy of the water. Let all thoughts dissolve away and just become one with the water. Stay in your meditation for 15 minutes. When you are finished say a prayer of appreciation to the water and the universe and close.

As a side-note, I like to use red coral as it has that wonderful property connected to our root chakra and provides an excellent grounding effect that is so necessary when dealing with emotions.

The universe has provided many ways to find inner peace. Meditation is a simple tool that can be used by all ages. You can do this with music, in silence with your eyes open or shut. Some do this alone or in a group. It's not important which method you choose– only that you DO IT.

Toxic Relationship Residue

As we continue to examine the living thoughts we have collected through the years, we can see that the torn and tattered remnants of negative relationships still linger in the shadows. Be these spousal, community or workplace relationships, does not matter. If they were toxic they have left their mark. There are people that will come and go throughout our lives much like chapters in a book. It is important to validate each of them and accept them for who they are and what they meant to you. Some of the characters, in the pages of your life story, may have been unsavory.

I have a few of those characters in my life that I would rather forget. Revisiting these negative experiences holds the energy and brings it to life. Just by opening up these living thoughts we are actively awakening negative energy. This unfavorable energy attracts more of the same. It can bring damaging effects such as: insomnia, headaches, irritability, mood-swings, lack of concentration just to mention a few.

As you look at your life today, examine the current chapter and see if you are keeping the residue of toxic relationships alive. If you have moved on from a disturbing lifetime experience yet still feel yourself hurting, then it is time to LET IT GO! How can you do this? By using your ability to switch off all memories regarding these harmful thought remnants that are holding you back. You are actually being held captive by your own mind. Take responsibility of what thoughts are allowed in and guard your beautiful space. You may try to convince yourself saying, “Oh, but that was years ago, I’m way past all of that.” This is all well and good, however your subconscious still brings it forward every now and again causing you to feel “less” about yourself. You are actually fanning the flames of negativity every time you revisit it.

I have lived with violence experiencing both physical and verbal abuse. It took me years to extract myself from this. Meditation helped me to release the energy that kept this self-loathing very raw. I would pick at the wounds of my heart like a scab keeping it bleeding. This did nothing to help overcome the pain and did everything to bring me poor health. Years ago I had the privilege of working as a volunteer with battered women. I watched the abused victims return to their toxic environments again and again. Many seemed like tethered boats tied securely to the dock unable to sail freely toward open peaceful waters. It was their thoughts that held them there. Thoughts like: “I have no money, my children need both parents living together, it’s not as bad as I think it is.” One of these victims said this looking at me through two black eyes holding a small infant that had suffered a broken arm in an angry burst of violence. She was in denial of the danger she was living in and she was allowing her child to remain in this horrific lifestyle.

Toxic relationships will continue to bring you disharmony until you truly see them for what they are. They are serving you absolutely no good and they are events that are now in the PAST (or for some are bringing them continued harm.)

As you proceed with your meditation, see these thoughts as negative energy being released with every exhale. Blow them away. Let them leave your peaceful, beautiful self and allow them to truly exit now and forever. Poof- gone.

This applies to all relationships in your life. Employment, neighbors, relatives, church, school, clubs, organizations and spousal relationships all can harbor toxic energies. If you have lived through a phase of disharmony regarding thoughts, words or deeds you need to release this energy. See it for what it is and move your thoughts to a more positive environment. Positive attracts positive – move in this direction fully accepting only thoughts for your highest good.

As you continue to release this through meditation, any negative thoughts that have been lurking in the shadows will be brought to your attention. You can now validate them and LET THEM GO. If you are engaged in a toxic relationship it will become clear to you that the path you are treading will need you to make a conscious choice – Do you want to continue with this or is time to move toward inner peace. Only you know what is best for you.

Allowing your inner voice to help you rise above the negative input will help you to make better decisions. Meditation enables you to tune out all thoughts and quiets your emotions. Your choices are made calmly with integrity. Will meditation solve all toxic relationships? Of course not, but it can help lead you down the path of self-love.

Loving yourself attunes your attention to your true value and self-worth. You are a beautiful person who has a right to live in peace. Meditation helps you to discover all the wonderful things about YOU. Your eyes will be open to new opportunities and exciting possibilities. Your heart begins to realize it can love and BE love to the world that so desperately needs this positive healing energy. This love begins with thought. Meditation brings thoughts of self-love that can help you proceed along your journey and navigate away from the residue of toxic relationships.

Song Messages Outa the Blue

How often do you tune into the music in your head? I'm not referring to the tunes you sing along with on the radio, although these hold wonderful truths for us. I am talking about the songs brought to you seemingly out of thin air.

Meditation can help raise your vibration and help you "tune into" the music language that is being channeled daily. It might sound outrageous but you are being given wonderful insightful, encouraging, loving messages daily. Like the whale songs that continue to baffle scientists it is a message that many cannot decipher. Perhaps if you continue to strengthen your connection the songs will begin to reveal their intention. They are personal and designed for you alone.

Two of my sisters are facing serious forks in the roads along their journey of life. One is quitting her job as a special education teacher, selling her house and moving from the north eastern part of the US to a warmer climate. Her severely handicapped child needs more of her attention and in spite of the fact that our economy is in a slump she is forging ahead with her plans.  She will be creating a garden and using herbs to work with aroma therapy. She has a masters degree in child psychology and is now ready to focus on something she feels will be more beneficial for HERSELF instead of the public school system.
The other sister lost her husband last spring and just found out that the company she's working for is probably shutting down. She has worked as a pharmacist for many years and functions in a stressful environment and believe it or not is only allowed a 15 minute lunch break that she takes sitting in her car. She faced a crisis of being suddenly alone after 39 years of marriage and now she may be without a job that she has relied upon for years.

Their future plans are both cloudy at the moment. Both of them meditate daily and each have been given some incredible messages through music. I have been getting these messages for some time now and I am learning to de-code them as they have helped me tremendously. The songs will appear during a meditation or shortly after and they will stay stuck in our heads until we give it to the intended person ie., deliver the message - or decipher the lyrics and connect.

Both sisters chatted on the phone last night discussing their possible futures. One of them was given this song in her meditation today:

I've Got a Name
Like the pine trees lining the winding road
I've got a name
I've got a name
Like the singing bird and the croaking toad
I've got a name
I've got a name
And I carry it with me like my daddy did
But I'm living the dream that he kept hid
Moving me down the highway
Rolling me down the highway
Moving ahead so life won't pass me by
Like the North wind whistling down the sky
I've got a song
I've got a song
Like the whip-poor-will and the babies crying
I've got a song
I've got a song
And I carry it with me and I sing it proud
If it gets me nowhere, I'll go there proud
Moving me down the highway
Rolling me down the highway
Moving ahead so life won't pass me by
And I'm gonna go there free
Like the fool I am and I'll always be
I've got a dream
I've got a dream
They can change their minds but they can't change me
I've got a dream
I've got a dream
I know I could share it if you want me to
If your going my way I'll go with you
Moving me down the highway
Rolling me down the highway
Moving ahead so life won't pass me by
Moving me down the highway
Rolling me down the highway
Moving ahead so life won't pass me by
